An afternoon of sumptuous song, stunning strings and tantalising tango, with internationally acclaimed baritone José Carbó and brilliant classical guitarists Slava and Leonard Grigoryan presenting My Latin Heart.

24-25 September: Yea Garden Expo
 
A garden Expo where vendors of all things to do with gardens will be in attendance to sell their products, services, skills and knowledge to the gardening public.
 
There will be four workshops each day with topics covered including garden design, orchids, bees, rare plants and bulbs, garden to plate meals and cooking, pruning and table decorating from the garden.

8 October: Light the Night in Yea
 
Light the Night is the Leukaemia Foundation's annual fundraising walk to help more Australians beat blood cancer by improving survival rates and quality of life.
Families and friends will come together for a gentle walk carrying one of three coloured lanterns; gold to remember a loved one, white for their own blood cancer journey, or blue to show they care.

14-16 October: Foggy Mountain Bluegrass Festival in Kinglake
 
This intimate celebration of bluegrass music is set to feature some of Australia’s best bluegrass musicians and international acts.

Attendees will be treated to a toe-tapping hoedown bush dance; bluegrass concerts, musical workshops, gospel and community concerts, jam sessions at all hours and many great activities.

The second Annual Marysville Jazz and Blues weekend will be held in Marysville and surrounding area over the weekend commencing on the evening of Friday 14th October.

Marysville will come alive to some of the best jazz and blues artists from the local area as well as the rest of Victoria over the weekend.

The Weekend offers up to 10 gardens ranging from small manicured town spaces to expansive farm properties set amidst the magnificent backdrop of the Cathedral Mountain. The festival caters for all abilities with choices of four kilometres, ten kilometres, 21.1 kilometres, 42.2 kilometres and the 50 kilometre ultra marathon.

The start finish area has a fantastic feel with a good community environment, with entertainment and food stores to delight.
 
As always volunteers are greatly appreciated and its a great way to raise funds for your local group.
2016 sees the introduction of a fancy dress theme especially in the four and ten kilometre events.

Weekend Country Markets in Marysville, Alexandra & Kinglake    
 
Marysville's Community Market is on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.
 
The Alexandra Market is held in the grounds of the former railway station in Station Street, Alexandra. All types of stalls, such as fruit and veg, crafts, plants and herbs, jewellery and produce.
Market season is from September to May on the second Saturday of each month from 9.00am to 1.00pm. The Timber Tramway runs a train on market days.

The Kinglake Produce and Artisan Market has a variety of stalls, a great scenic country location and something for all ages. You will find fresh fruit and vegetables, chutneys, jams, relishes, soaps, candles, hot and cold food, both sweet and savoury, wines, crafts, gift ware, plants, great coffee and much more. All hand made quality items.
