17 December: Reddrops Foodworks Sister Olive Handicap.
 
This is our Christmas meeting and features the Reddrops Sister Oliver Handicap over 3000m! Gates open at 11am, the first race will be around 1pm. Arrive early to beat the queues or buy your tickets online.
With a long history of racing, the Club is located on the western edge of the Town of Yea and holds great tradition with the local community.

28 December: Summer Adventure activities.
For the young at heart - not just for kids!
 

Experience the exhilaration of a 240 metre Dual Flying Fox, slide down the Tube Run or join in a game of Laser Skirmish.
Explore the resorts track and trail network on foot or hire a mountain bike from the Lake Mountain Café, open for refreshments and home to an indoor Jumping Castle.
Adventure Activities run from 28 December 2016 to 15 January 2017. (Mountain Bike Hire also at Marysville Information Centre).

7-15 January: Art to Please in Yea.

Art to Please is an exhibition of original works of art by talented Yea artist Meg Heres. The exhibition consists of a variety of subjects and mediums that include oil, watercolour, pastel and acrylic both traditional and modern paintings.

One of the highlights of Yea's Cup meeting on Saturday, January 28th is the Fashions on the Field competition.

Weekend Country Markets in Marysville, Alexandra & Kinglake.    
 
Marysville's Community Market is on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.
Open from 9am - 1pm.
Enjoy local crafts, gifts, clothing, plants, soap, preserves, jams, chutneys, olive oil, honey, fresh fruit and vegetables and wine.
 
 
The Alexandra Market is held in the grounds of the former railway station in Station Street, Alexandra. All types of stalls, such as fruit and veg, crafts, plants and herbs, jewellery and produce.
Market season is from September - May on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9am to 1pm. The Timber Tramway runs a train on market days.

The Kinglake Produce and Artisan Market has a variety of stalls, a great scenic country location and something for all ages. You will find fresh fruit and vegetables, chutneys, jams, relishes, soaps, candles, hot and cold food, both sweet and savoury, wines, crafts, gift ware, plants, great coffee and much more. All hand made quality items.
Open the 4th Sunday of each month.

The Alexandra Timber Tramway and Museum.

A tourist railway and museum where you can see a recreation of the bush sawmill and tramway era of the Rubicon Forest from 1900 to 1950. Features a wide range of rescued and preserved of industrial locomotives, rolling stock and machinery.

Open on the second and  fourth Sundays from 10am to 4pm. The Timber Tramway runs a train on Alexandra market days - see above.

Healesville Sanctuary is a bushland haven for Australian Wildlife. A wonderful experience for all ages - not just children!
Journey along the natural tracks and boardwalks for close encounters with koalas, kangaroos, emus, wombats and all your favourite Australian animals.
